Christianity; a religion, a lifestyle or what?

“I give alms to the poor, I never lie, I do not hurt my neighbor, I go to church, I believe in Christ”, does that make me a Christian? “I read my bible and I pray to God”, does that not make me a Christian? How about water baptism?

Religion according to the Merriam- Webster dictionary is the service and worship of God or the supernatural. Many people who say Christianity is not a religion, say it is a lifestyle. But is religion in itself not a part of a lifestyle?

So what is Christianity?

John 3:36; Christianity is a life and that life is in His son, Jesus. Christianity is ETERNAL LIFE. Therefore, a Christian is he who has eternal life. In that regards, you cannot be too Christian or half Christian. You either have eternal life or you do not. 1 John 5:11, 1 John 5:13;  1 Timothy 6:12.

So how do I become a Christian?

Romans 10:10; all you need to do is to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord over your life.  That simple sentence from your lips was heard in Heaven and there is much jubilation; John 15:10. It is never by your works; Ephesians 2:9

Prayer of Salvation

Read out these words and believe in your heart that Heaven hears you:

Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of eternal life. I believe that Christ came, died and was buried. And that on the third day, He rose from the grave. Jesus is Lord of life from this day forth. Hence, I live for Him. Thank you, Father, for now, I am born again.

Glory!!!! You are now a Christian
